Doing your grocery shopping online can save you money, as you’re less likely to be tempted to put things in your trolley that you don’t really need. But how do you know you’re paying the lowest price for your groceries?
You could check prices on each supermarket’s website, but that would be very time consuming.
However, help is at hand in the shape of mySupermarket!
What does it do?
mySupermarket lets you do your online shopping as you would on your favourite supermarket’s own website. However, as you are filling your trolley it will do a real-time price comparison of your trolley between Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s and Ocado. You can switch between the supermarkets at any time, taking the contents of your trolley with you.
Not only does it compare prices between supermarkets, it also offers money-saving tips on the products you add to your trolley. These include identifying better value alternatives, or highlighting ‘own brand’ versions of the same product, which are often of a similar quality but at a much reduced price.
What about special offers?
You won’t miss out on any of the supermarket’s special offers either – mySupermarket updates special offers daily, so you will always have access to the same deals (2 for 1, multibuys, etc) that you would see on the supermarket’s own website.
Will I still get my loyalty points?
When you’ve finished shopping and want to checkout, you and your trolley will be transferred to your chosen supermarket’s own website, to complete the transaction. This means that you can still collect your loyalty points (e.g. ClubCard or Nectar points). In addition to this, if you are registered with Maximiles you will get Maximiles points for every pound you spend through mySupermarket.
